1991 Honda Accord 4 cyl Automatic 239000 miles

Im about to buy a 1991 honda accord with automatic transmission and 239,000 miles on it for $1000. I recently took it to a mechanic nearby and they told me after looking at it that it would be $780 in repairs needed for the car to run in good condition. FIrst off it needs front brakes. Second it needs A New timing belt and water pump with a couple of gaskets and seals. And third it needs a couple of new brake lamps and steering wheel alignment. Now im going to have to take the car after I buy it to get the brakes and the steering wheel aligment done at like a meineke or something. The $780 that im paying is just for the timing belt with the water pump and gaskets and seals. IS this a fair price with labor or is he ripping me off. All together with the brakes and alignment and timing belt and such its going to be about $950 for repairs plus the $1000 for the car. So should I buy this car or not. Please I need some feedback. Thanks

Need to know what king of gasket and seals they are replacing
to justify the fairness of the price
you can always let someone else look at it for you
