Engine Mechanical problem
1990 Honda Accord 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual 163*** miles

I just replaced the gasket on the valve cover. However, i've discoverd oil on the underside of the distributor cap. How would oil end up on there? Everywhere else is dry - no oil
Please advise.

Check the P.C.V valve it's under the intake manlf. You will see a hose about in the middle of the manlf. It goes to a black rubber insulated box in the back of the block. At the end of the hose is the PCV valve

Hi alika,

If the oil is only at cap side, the oil seal inside the distributor is bad and needs to be replaced.
