1990 Honda Accord engine fan

My car was running hot, I had the thermostat chnaged andit continued to run hot, so I then had afriend who is a so-called mechanic take the radiator off and fill the hole with some liquid metal stuff. But I think it is still running hot. The fan motor continues to run even after the car is shut off, is that normal?

Hi jazzyjan43,

If the engine is overheating, the fan would run for a short time after engine is turned OFF.

Did you bleed the system after removal and installation of radiator?

Do you have issues with coolant losses?
