1986 Honda Accord LXI 2.0 ltr auto trans 273000 miles

I have an accord that starts normal when it's cold but when it is warm it turn over excessivley and the check engine light comes on, holding the accelorator half way will eventually get the car to start. The check engine light will stay on but the car will run good. What could be the Problem? Oh and I would like to make a donation but I am in financial ruins at this point. Hello Matt !

Well start "getting" the codes of the ECM then we know what is wrong with it.

When was the last time you do a major tune up to your car?
(plugs, cables cap and rotor filters (air and gas.))?
