high rpm after replacing neutral safety switch

I have a 2000 mazda mpv i bought n January and have had one problem after another right now the problem is i recently replaced to neutral safety switch before this the transmission shifted great n smooth now it seems to not go out of second gear ill be going 45and be at 3000rpms and if im going 60itll be at 4000rpms ives just been taking it easy trying to keep it below 3500 but im woried its going to tear up again.. is this ok? Or is there a simple fix? It still idles normally

scan for codes and check fuel pressure with a gauge auto parts rent it. clean throttle plate on both sides and iac hole with choke cleaner
