Hi,

The door striker on driver side is worn, the sleeve is worn off.

I want to switch door strikers, passenger side to drivers side,
and visa versa.

How do I do this? How is it removed, or are replacement
sleeves available?

Any information would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Kenny

Hi,

You can switch them. It isn't hard to do. I copied one of your pics and circled what is holding the striker on the door jamb. That bolt should be a T45 Torx bolt. It will be somewhat tight, so be prepared. Simply screw it out and it will fall into your hand.

Now, keep in mind that the striker is what adjusts the in and out door adjustment in the closed position. The easiest thing to do is this. Before unbolting the strikers, take a sharpie and draw a circle around where the striker is positioned. When you go to reinstall them, simply place the new striker in the circle you made and it should be good.

Take care and let me know how things turn out for you. And also, the sleeve isn't serviceable.
