Hello, good evening. I have noticed that one side of the car is lower than the other. Could the shocks cause the problem?

Welcome to CarPros.

The shock absorber only stops the bouncing. It has nothing to do with the height. Your vehicle has a strut assembly which is a unit which contains a shock absorber and coil spring. The spring is what determines vehicle height.

I attached a picture of what a strut looks like. If your vehicle is sitting low, chances are the coil springs are worn. If, however, you have an air suspension, this doesn't apply. But, I don't think they offered that design on this vehicle.

Let me know if you have other questions or need anything.

Take care,
Joe

Happy to help. If you decide to replace them yourself, let me know. It will require special tooling if you plan to reuse the old strut assembly and only replace the coil springs. However, if you plan to replace the entire strut, it will be easier. Either way, the vehicle will need an alignment when finished.

Take care,
Joe

Welcome back:

Yes, the rear can be aligned. However, this requires an alignment rack to properly do. You won't be able to do it by eye.

I attached all the specs for both front and rear alignment in the attached pics.

Let me know if you have other questions.
