I have the car listed above with a 3.0L 24V Duratec engine. I have changed the spark plugs and it is full of oil. There is a bad engine knock coming from what I believe is cylinder 2. I believe it could be a rod knock due to bad bearing because I drove it too hard. I just need a second opinion before I start taking the car apart to figure out the culprit.

Good afternoon,

The fact you have oil in the cylinder tells me you have more of piston damage than bearing damage.

Can you upload a video of the noise so I can hear it? That will let me make a better opinion.

Thank you.

You have either a broken piston, bad bearings or some other failure.

The bottom line is, you need a motor. You can either get a used motor or a rebuilt motor depending on what you want to spend.
