Grinding noise, slow down

I left work today with a 1.5 minute engine warm up (it was 95 degrees outside) and when I entered the intersection, my car made a bad grinding noise and immediately slowed down. I let up on the gas immediately for a second, then had to try and move as I was in the middle of the intersection. It repeated what I just described. Traffic was coming so I gently reapplied gas and it started to move smoothly. Got home with no further issues. My fluid level is low but not minimum level. I am scared as I have to drive 220 miles tomorrow. Should I cancel the trip?

Hello, I am Danny.

Which fluid level is low but not at minimum you speak of? Did this happen as you were braking?

Hello again
Quick question. Were you driving straight forward or making a turn when you heard the grinding noise?

Hello again.

There are a lot of components on a vehicle that can make grinding noises, especially without hearing/seeing it in person. We like to suggest using your phone to record the noise/grinding if possible to help us better diagnose the problem. When was the last time the brakes have been inspected? It would also help to have the vehicle put up on a hoist to have the suspension/under-body checked for this noise. I have attached a link for you to look at regarding grinding noises. Hope this helps and feel free to ask any further questions if needed. Thanks again for using 2CarPros.
