ABS light problem

If my brakes are low on my 2002 gmc yukon will it cause the abs light stay on constantly?

No. The brake pads do not have sensors or anything on them. There is something going on with the ABS. You can go to a local parts store and most of them have a code reader to scan the codes and get you started in the right direction.

I had the abs checked, its the abs module, how difficult would it be to replace it myself with a new one?(Im no mechanic)

The abs module is pretty easy to replace, BUT it will have to be programed to the vehicle. I don't know if anyone but a dealer could do it.

The reason I would like to do it mysel is because at the mechanic shop they would charge me $1776.00 for part and labor thats a too much, would the same abs module of another 2002 gmc yukon fit, or will it still have to be program by a specialist?
