1998 GMC Yukon Check engine light came on.

How do I reset the ECU on my 1998 GMC yukon. Earlier today I pulled the stock air intake off to clean it and I disconnected the two wires that were connected to it to do so. One went to the Mass air sensor the other im not sure what its called. I turned the truck on a little while after and I noticed the check engine light came on. Any ideas what it may be. One my friends said try resetting the ECU first

You can clear the codes with a scanning tool
https://www.2carpros.com/dia/how_to_scan_trouble_codes.htm

or if the problem has gone away, the light will go out on it's own after you have driven it enough.
but the code will remain in memory.
