2003 GMC Sonoma throttle cable

My throttle cable has broken, but when I looked under the dash it still has an end on it but it will not fit into the keeper attached to the gas peddle. Am I missing something?

Hello -

Since I am unable to see what you see (unless you are able to take a pic) I have provided what it looks like at the TB to hook it up there and the 3rd pic is how it connects to the peddle.
