1997 GMC Sierra engine has a miss and is running extremely

I was driving my truck at about 55 mph. Truck had a hesitation like a plug wire was pulled, then started running with a bad miss like one or more of the plug wires were pulled. I replaced the plugs and plug wires 3 weeks ago what could cause this miss?

If you are sure ignitionis all good, it is either fuel or compression. Those engines (CPI) had problems with the injectors, but do a compression test first to be sure they are all there
