Chevy 305/350 4 barrel intake

I have a 4 barrel 305/350 chevy intake with the numbers 14057053 on it, now do I need a specific carburetor for that or will any 4 barrel work, my chevy does not have one currently on it, and I need to know which carb I need if it is a specific one. Please help me.

My book shows it as a 1978 to 85 4 barrel. Doesn't say what carb to use, but if it's square, it takes a Holley. If it's kinda bigger at the rear 2 barrels, it takes a Quadrajet. With an adaptor, you can put the other kind of carb on it. Just about any parts house has adaptors.
