It is a 1998 gmc seirra 4x4 5.7 lit, all I need is to get it back in time because I replaced the distibutor and the cordor on the truck I think I got it out of time. How do I get it back in time?

1st you have to put engine no.1 piston on compression stroke/TDC line the crank pulley to timing marks to TDC/0 Deg, pull the distributor out and restab back in making sure the rotor is pointing to no.1 cap tower this is a must-then use a timing light to time the ignition
