Ok how about how to reflash a ECM for 94 Jimmy

94 GMC Jimmy, 165,000 miles, got a new ECM to put in it but it says it requires flash programming unit. Anybody know how?

IT REQUIRES SPECIAL EQUIPMENT CHECK WITH UR LOCAL SHOPS IF THEY CAN REPROGRAM IT FOR U OR U HAVE TO GO TO UR LOCAL DEALER FOR IT. I CAN DO IT BUT UR TO FAR

The local Chevy dealership quoted me $200 just to reflash the ECM. Not including labor on install or anything, sounded a little high to me, does this sound legit?

WELL ALL I CAN SAY IS THAT EVERYONE HAS THERE PRICE, AT MY SHOP WE CHARGE $84 TO PROGRAM & THE REPLACEMENT U COULD DO UR SELF ( IT'S LOCATED IN THE RH OF THE VEH. UNDER THE HOOD ON TOP OF THE COOLANT RESERVOIR, CAN MISS IT JUST REMEMBER TO TRANSFER THE INSIDE MEMCAL(NOCK SIGNAL) GOOD LUCK :shock:
