1998 GMC Jimmy gauges shut off then came back on

I was driving my 1998 gmc jimmy and all the gauges went to 0 mph and 0 on the tach fuel went to Empty   but the car stayed running then they all came back on with a check engine light they then went off again and came back on also it seems that my truck has a loss in power as I was sitting at a stop light with my foot off the brake and the truck didnt move and when I went to take off I had to push the pedal halfway down before it took off can u please help me figure out what this is.

If the check engine light is still illuminated, you can have the codes scanned at a local auto part store such as AutoZone or Advance Auto Part for free. This diagnostic tool is really helpful in pinpointing where the issue may lie. Post the codes you receive and I will follow up with what to do next.
