1995 GMC Jimmy 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

when I hit the gas pedal it has a miss fire and rpm guage bounces up and down goes crazy and than backfires at high rpm. Almost sounds like egr valve is open at idle. The rpm gauge is still going crazy at idle but engine lite does not come on and has good fuel pressure 63psi the plugs, wires, cap, rotor, coil, ingition module, tps sensor, and cam sensor are all new any ideas

Fixed problem ended up being the wire harness going to crankshaft sensor thanks for your help

Have the same problem with my SUV. I cant find the harness or the pins to fix it right. Tried to splice and soldier the wires but it doesnt work. Where did you find the harness at? I tried all local junk yards
