1989 GMC Jimmy head gasket

I have a 1989 gmc gypsy jimmy I have a over heating problem I loose coolant but its not leeking on the ground ill drive about 45 minutes and it starts to over heat so ill put more coolant in but it really dont smell like coolant from the exaust where is all of it going please help

You must have a leak, have it pressure tested. Inexpensive way of definately determining the leak.
