We live in South Dakota and the wind blows a lot. We just had a snow/blizzard and some snow got under the hood and covered the engine. The temps have been below zero for the past couple of days and will continue to hover around the teens and below in the next week or so. I tried to start the truck but it squeeled a bit, so I shut it off. I tried to knock off some of the snow. What should I do to warm it up so I don't damage any belts or more important the engine?

Thank you

Hi:
The squeal was from the snow on the belt and should stop after a few seconds. It really shouldn't hurt anything. The only thing you can do is garage the vehicle or cover it.

If you have any other questions, let me know.

Joe
