Pcm's usually don t do that kind of thing. They usually will screw up the running condition of the vehicle by doing odd things. See if there is an engine code stored by scanning the computer system. Most auto parts stores can do this for no charge. A good idea is to check for fuel pressure and change the fuel filter as well.
