This is a GMC van 4.3 liter engine

How do I repair this problem. The temperature gauge for engine cooling is not operating. The engine light doesn't go off. The engine cooling sensor is not working.

any ideas on where to begin solving the problem?

thanks
Eleanor

Well, you will need to have codes pulled, your local Autozone will do it for free.

Since Temp Gauge isn't working you need to replace the Engine Temp Sensor.

You say the Coolant Temo Sensor isn't working, replace it.

Once all problems have been resolved you will have to have a garage turn engine light off.
