So first of how is the alignment when was it done last. How does it feel when you pull it back straight? Does it feel like you have power steering or not? Give me some more info and we will go from there.

I am not asking you to back up. You said that when you turn right it wants to continue to turn right so you are turning the steering wheel to get the truck back to staight right? So when you do that does the power steering feel like it is working or not?

Ok it is either a power steering pump or the steering speed sensor. Your truck has what is called varialbe assist steering. There is a sensor near the end of the column that senses vehicle speed and adjusts how much power assist is needed. When they begin to fail you get some strange problems. Like for one what you explained and other things like at highway speeds you go to turn and it takes a second for the steering to react and then it is like you oversteered even though you have not. Does this make sense? If it don't please just ask I will try to better explain it. Now I figure you know what the power steering pump looks like so I will not include a pic of that but here is what the steering sensor looks like.

I may have stored it so I would have a scan done anyway just to find out and clear it if it has stored any. Just remember to get the code number before they clear it and let me know what it is if it is stored ok.
