1997 GMC C1500 brakes

My brake pedal is soft and the brake light goes on when I apply the brake pedal. Also once an a while the abs brakes kick in on dry road. I checked the front pads/rotors and they look like new (approx 25000milles) I should have more wear.I see no obvious leaks.

There is a centering valve in these systems. You need a special tool to adjust this and set it properly. Also, if your brake fluid is full, you may have air in the brake lines. A trip to the dealer is necessary unless you have a brake centering valve tool.
