Hi, I was wondering if my car giving off those two codes combined narrowed down the issue or should I treat them as 2 separate problems and repair them individually? P0326 is knock sensor and P0304 is cylinder 4 misfire. I just purchased this car from a dealership that had gotten it from an auction.

Good morning,

The 326 is for the knock sensor. There is not much in diagnostics for this as they tell you to replace it and see if it goes away.

Does the engine make any noise such as valve taps? The sensor will pick up engine noises and react to it.

To tell if the sensor is working, you need a scan tool that can read live data and when you see the knock sensor, take a small hammer and tap on top the motor and see if the reading changes. That is how I test the sensor to see if it is working.
