I recently put in a new gas tank(06-11-09) and since then the canister leaked which hadn't before. It didn't matter to me the tank was less than 1/2 empty until I began replacing the canister.I was going to replace it a new one but had to wait 5 days for it to arrive. Went to the local boneyard and purchased one. It worked great until the tank got about 3/8 full. Went back to the boneyard and got two more just in case. Again when the tank got low it leaked. To me that chances that all four would work and leak at just under half full is more than coincidence. Can you give me some insight as to what I may be missing. Thanks alot for your help. Dan

What do you mean that it leaked?

Are you getting a check engine light with an evap code?

There appears to be a "weep" hole at the bottom of the canister. As I stated when the tank gets below 1/2 tank drops of gas comes from the hole. There is no check engine lite. Also when I release pressure in the gas tank the gas drops stops. I replaced the cansiter with three different canisters(used) and the problem persists only when tanks gets below 1/2. This problem only happened after I replaced the gas tank(new). Thanks for your help. Dan

I'm thinking that one of the hoses got hook up incorrectly.

You should have 3 small hoses going to the sending unit.
The high pressure fuel line.
The fuel return line
the vapor line.

I'm guessing that the fuel vapor and fuel return got switched when the tank was replaced.
