1994 Geo Tracker broken timing belt

broke timing belt driving on the interstate, replaced it and cam sproket, set timing. worked really well for a few days the started making noise in valve train area and lost power intermitingly. when power is ok timing shows good, when power is down the timing shows off...any suggestions

the 1994 tracker is equipped with an interference engine , meaning that when the timing belt breaks under operation the internal engine components (such as valves) will most likely be damaged. you need to inspect the engine internally for damage caused by the timing belt breaking.
