1994 Geo Prizm Wont shift outof 1st gear

1994 Geo Prizm 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

My differential oil seal was leaking, so I replaced it. Drove the car around and everything worked beautiful. About 2 hours later I went back to my shop to rotate my tires and once I was finished I decided to go home. As I left my transmission wouldnt shift out of 1st gear. What could be causing this to happen when it has been driving, and shifting like new?

Check to see if it has a throttle valve cable, a cable that attaches to the throttle body cam and goes to the transmission. This increases hydraulic pressure to the transmission as the TB rotates.

The cable could be broke/kinked/out of adjustment.
