Gas gauge not working correctly

The gas gauge jumps from full to empty while driving.

Good evening.

This could be a bad connection at the fuel module at the tank, it could be a bad connection at the cluster or a bad cluster, or it could be a wiring issue.

I attached a diagram for you to view. Start with the connection at the fuel module. That is the most common failure for this issue. Check the purple wire at the connector.

Check the connector behind the cluster. That may be the reason for both issues. Make sure the pins are clean, tight and not damaged.
