I am in the process of changing the brake pads and rotors on the front end. I have the pads and caliper off and out of the way. I am having trouble getting the rotor off. There is a star shaped screw in the rotor and I was wondering if that needs to come out and if not how do I get the rotor off? Thanks.

The screw needs to come off it is a torx bit which I forget the size. See picture you may have to pull the caliper bracket off as well then reinstall it after. You may have to strike the rotor with a dead blow hammer in order to break rotor free from hub.
