My car doens't work!

When I first get into my car and start it up then put it into gear it start to almost accelrate on it's own. Then if I give some gas it will start to lunge (not really sure if that is a good way to say it ? ). Then if I go for a little bit it wiill run fine, But when I slow down or come to a stop it will die on me. I travel alot and I also have 3 kids. This isn't something that is very convienent if you know what I mean. :) So can you please tell me what is wrong. I was also given a code. It is P1336.
