Sorry I don't have a credit card to donate.

My alternator died, then the battery froze. I purchased a new battery and the van starts no problems. I replaced the alternator (And had it tested at Canadian Tire and it passed twice) and the charging system light stays on.

I checked the wiring harness and there does not seem to be any damage and checked any of the grounds that I could find.

Any other thinks I can try?

Check fuse T 15amp in the engine compartment fuse box and fuse no.14 5amp in the I/P fuse panel.

I checked, and replaced both fuses (they are cheap) even though they looked fine. No luck. Thanks for trying though.

A friend said it I should check all of the grounds, so I will be doing that tomorrow (I hope)

Will update yas once I try it.

So, I grabbed a volt meter and I am getting 12+v at across the battery. I start it and it goes around 11.6V but stays about the same. Goes up or down by 0.02 v

IF I turn the high beams on, radio, heater it drops to 11.35 and stays around there, slowing going down 0.01v every 4 or 5 seconds.

The alternator is not producing its output voltages if it is your reading should read 13.5 to 15.5 volts while engine is idling.

I had the alternator checked at CanadianTire and they said the alternator passed.

Could it be something else, or should I grab a new alternator.
