my check engine light is flashing on my van and I am just trying to figure out what is wrong with it. It was working just fine. Now it is puttering and the check engine light is flashing.

Welcome to the forum, check for trouble codes or have them checked. Some of the national brand autostores will check for free. If the lite is flashing, it needs immediate attention.
