1994 Ford Thunderbird used too much oil

1994 Ford Thunderbird V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 140k miles

a quart of oil used in one thousand miles. No leaks I can see. Is it possible to burn oil and spark plugs still be clean and dry? Just bought car and had wal mart change oil. Not sure if I checked oil since they changed or not. If the plugs are clean, and there are no leakes, what would be wrong with the engine?

If its using oil and going into the cylinders you'll see it-if its not there must be leaking externally. Your option here is get the engine compression checked out to find out where Valves or Rings
