The ignition key is missing on the 63 T-Bird I am restoring. I had ordered new door locks and ignition lock and was able to replace the door locks no problem. The ignition lock is a problem. To remove it requires a key. Since I have a new ignition lock I don't care if I break the one that is in there now. If I put the piece of wire through the the little hole in the ignition lock can I use a screwdiver to turn the old ignition lock to get it out without ruining the ignition switch? Or if you have any other suggestions I would appreciate it. I called a locksmith and he said he would have to make a service call and then make a duplicate and it would be quite expensive.
Thanks,
Thomas
