1993 Ford Tempo Trunk

The trunk sprung and won't stay in the up position. One of the bars going across from each hinge came off and I don't know where to connect it. Can you help with a picture or some advice please as this is my wife's car and she can't hold the trunk open.

Did it break or just come loose? Odd problem will have to look tomorrow. Try a search of this tempo forum or a google search.

It came loose on each end. Don't know where to insert the ends, somewhere in the hinge or hinge bracket but not sure where exactly.

I fixed it! There's 2 bars in the trunk and I figured out that they "mirror" each other. One end fits into a bracket (the one with 3 positions) and the other end has to be twisted and inserted directly into the back of the hinge. It's a bit difficult and the trunk only slammed on my legs once, but got 'er done!
