I have a 2005 Ford Taurus SE v6, about 56,600 miles. My car has been to two Ford dealership. My problems was; ABS Light and Red Brake Light comes on for about 4sec and I get a message in my information center " Check Brake System", the care would lose power and once I press the brakes, things would return. But at times I would lose total power and would have to pull over to the side of the road switch the car off and re-start. But once I arrive to where I was going, I would switch the car off and it would may a ticking noise, like the computer resetting itself. I had a funny noise coming from the right front side of the car, can be heard inside the car anywhere from 40 to 80+ mph. The 1st dealership, took a month to get my car back. Replace the 'Instrutemnt Cluster' 3 times and one was from another car and still had the same problem. They couldn't tell me why it was not fix, so I took it to another Ford dealersihip with the same problem and check " Engine Light". The 2nd dealership said that " Ford is investigating has no known repair at this time, cleared codes". So after taken my car back 2 time for my check engine, no clear answer and a bill, I took it to Auto Zone and was told it was a senor in my gas tank. Need help? What to do? I know nothing about cars.
