My ac compressor recently failed and at the same time my car started blowing a fuse. I bypassed the compressor and disconnected it electrically but the car still keeps blowing the fuse.

Hello, exactly which fuse? Is there a fuse number and amp rating? Fuse 22- 10 amp shows to be hot all the time. It not only serves the ac relay, but, pcm keep alive memory.

Fuse 28, 15 amp serves several circuits, 02 sensor--trans shift solenoid--canister vent-- coil side of ac clutch relay. That fuse circuit goes hot when you turn on the key.

Does the fuse blow before or after you turn on the key? I found some of this info in your owners manual, as far as what circuit/s the fuse serves.

It is the fuse 1.22-10 amp. According to the fuse diagram I have it serves the ac clutch relay, pcm and idle air. When the fuse blows the car will not idle and stalls. I am considering removing the AC relay also just in case that is causing it. I have disconnected the harness leading to the compressor already. It seems as though the fuse blows on startup. I think the first time it went the car was already running. The next 3 times occurred upon startup

One of my databases showed the iac also. You might isolate the iac, see if the fuse still blows.
