2004 Ford Taurus Emissions Light

Hi,
My emmissions systems light is on and when I stop my car it shakes. When I start to move again, I have to push down on the gas harder and it slowly gets into gear, then it jumps forward. Does anyone know what it may be and how much it should cost to fix it

Sounds as you may need a tune up and or a bad coil
have to have it checked for codes
as codes should pin point the troubled area and make repair a bit easier
most local part store can help you in getting the codes for free
let us know what you have for codes
