I hit a deer 3 weeks ago the body shop that fixed my car said that the coil is bad in my car making it stall and buck going down the road. They first said it was the electical box. They are going to replace the coil. My question is how do I know it is not something else?
Thank you
Billyjo

I would suspect a MAF sensor get damaged from the hit, but if its a bad coil you should have a check engine light on and or flashing
checking for codes should help

Also have the autozone or checker put a code reader on it, mine done the same thing and it was all four oxygen sensors.
