2001 Taurus with shakey front end above 70mph

01 Taurus front end shakes above 70 & when accelerating. Shakes less at constant speed or coasting. Motor mounts are intact no signs of wear or damage. Rotors are new and not warped. No odd wear patterns on tires. Any ideas what could make this happen?

Check for loose ball joints, tie rod ends, etc. You will need to jack up the car and place both sides on jack stands. Don't place the jack stands under any front end components.

Try to move or shake various front end components, such as ball joints, tie rods, etc. There should be absolutely no play. If there is, then you've found your problem.
