2001 Ford Taurus FOB

I lost both keys for the 2001 taurus with the FOBs. I have old FOBs for my truck (2004 F350) that I don't use anymore because of an after market alarm system. After paying $257.00 to get 2 keys made I was wonering if I could use these FOBs? I can program them for the taurus but it still activates the F350 also. Is there a way to make it so it doesn't arm the F350?

Have you tried removing the battery for a period of time and then resetting it for the car?

Yes, it erases the taurus but not the F350. Left the battery out for 15 min.

That is interesting. It should have erased both. Try letting it out overnight.

This is weird. 1 of the FOBs (without programming after the battery on the FOB was out overnight) does just the Taurus and not the F350. That's 1. The other still does both? I'll leave it out for a couple of days see what happens. I didn't think it would be so time consuming to make the change over. I'll let you know what happens for future reference.
