2001 Ford Taurus

My Taurus runs fines, and then when I get to a stop sign it putters and then eventually quits. It starts back up just fine and it ride great when you driving. But when I sit too long at a light or stop sign it putters and then quits. What causes this?

Hello,

Ok, since it is a 2001 vehicle just about anything will turn the engine light on. So, if you go by your local parts store they will pull codes for you. Write they down and post them here in forum.

Some causes.

Vacuum Leak

TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) going bad

IAC (Idle Air Control) Motor
