1999 Ford Taurus Erratic Idle

When sitting at a red light, the car idles fast, then slows and sputters and misses, feels like it's going to stall but doesn't. While driving, when I let off the gas, the car stays at the same speed (like I had cruise control on) but I don't have cruise control. No engine light comes on and no trouble codes were found. Any suggestions would be appriciated.

I would have to wonder about the mass air flow sensor. It may be dirty. Also the idle air control valve may be sticking. Try cleaning both of these and post back with the results.
