Hello Im working on a 98 ford taurus, and im replacing the oxygen sensor on bank 2 before the converter, and there is no way to reach it, so my question is do half to drop the exhaust system to replace it or is there another way to access it that im not noticing?

Hello,

First are you using a wrench or the O2 Sensor Socket?

If attempting to use the socket you won't be able to and you would need to drop the exhaust.

You should be able to get to it using a wrench. Will be a pain but shouldn't need to drop exhaust. Also take a hammer you will most likely have to tap the wrench in order to loosen the sensor. One other suggestion would be to cut the wires to the sensor right at the sensor to make getting the closed end of the wrench over it easier.
