1997 Ford Taurus Will not shift out of parking

1997 Ford Taurus Two Wheel Drive Automatic 105000 miles

Gear is stock in parking, nannot shift to move car, enginei s running fine and I know the transmission is ok. What's doing this?

Do your brake lights work? If no, replace the brakelight switch. If they work, do you have column or floor shift? There is a shift interlock on the floor shift model
