I just bought this car 2 days ago. It had a miss to it andthe guy said he put a coil pack and plugs and wires on it. Its still missing. He said he was told it was the #5 fuil injector. When your driving it it clears up when it idles it misses off and on. Is there anything else that could be wrong with it? I hope its nothing serious. I hope its a simple thing.

Engine running rough or misfring can be caused by worn or fouled spark plugs, a weak spark (weak coil, bad spark plug wire), loss of compression, vacuum leaks, anything that causes an unusually lean fuel mixture (lean misfire), an EGR valve that is stuck open, dirty fuel injectors, low fuel pressure, or even bad fuel.
