1995 Ford Taurus haeter core

Is it leaking? It's way up under the dash behind the glovebox, it's usually the first item installed in the car, then the rest of the car is assembled around a 35 dollar part, j k, but it seems that way. Removing it requires the dash usually to be taken apart, there may be shortcuts people may have though. If it's not leaking badly, you could try some quality rad sealer, see if it works temporarily, get you through the cold weather anyway. Probably would cost in the range of 500- 800 dollars if dealer did it.
