I have a 1993 Ford Taurus and I have been fighting an overheating problem for years. After 4 thermastats, new radiator, 2 water pumps, temp. Sensor, etc, the car overheats after driving it for about 30 minutes. The electric fan kicks in after it gets extremely hot. Normally if I'm driving its fine, its after I have stopped at a light or something is when it starts to get hot. It does not appear to be a head gasket which is common in this model.(3.8 ltr). Any ideas would be appreciated!

Did you have the system flushed? It is normal to have it done whenever you change any of the major components you mentioned, but if you have a clog somewhere between the temperture sensor on the dash and the temperture sensor for the cooling fan it will get hot on the engine side and stay cooler away from the motor.
