Have a tapping noise in engine, replaced lifters didnt help. Noise sounds more towards tranny now. Does not start until engine warms up. Gets quieter when giving it gas. Thats why I ruled out rod bearing or wrist pin. Any ideas.

Is it constant or does it knock at higher frequency with engine rpm?
Does it go away with clutch pushed in?

Louder at idle. Seems to go away when giving a little gas. Doesnt start knocking until warm engine, at idle.
Canceling out cylinders has no effect either.
